I’ve bought numerous cars from smokers, but that’s because 60% of my state still smokes, by the time a car has hit it’s 3rd owner 2 of them have smoked in it.

It usually cleans out alright, but annoying as fuck for sure.

If you want to know why everyone in Missouri smokes it’s because we have the lowest cigarette tax on the nation. Smokes are still under $4 a pack here...

Both of my cars have been smoked in by previous owners or people. My first car you could tell the PO was a heavy smoker. He/She ruined the shift boot and some of the seat cloth of the passenger seat from ashes. I also found an empty box of Marlboro lights 100 under the passenger seat. My current car has much less smoke damage. There is 1 cigarette burn on the back seat, and this one does not smell like cigarettes.

How good is your sense of smell? My wife has a really good sense of smell and can smell the smoke in my mom’s car even though none of my family can.

I would consider it good, especially since I quit smoking, smoke smell bugs the hell out of me since I quit.

That stuff actually neutralizes odors instead of covering them up like most products, so it does very well, IMO. It was a hard sell for me, but after seeing (smelling actually) the results, I recommend it.

I used it on the inside of my current project. The PO was a complete slob and a smoker.

The inside was black up front and smelled horrid between the smoke and spilled drinks embedded in the floors/seats. I deep cleaned everything with Norwex (carpet stain buster/laundry detergent mix), allowed it to dry, then sprayed it with the odor eliminator (seats, carpet, down the vents, etc). It looks excellent for a 23yo car and just has a clean smell, even after sitting in the sun all closed it smells fresh inside.
